DC College Success Foundation - assists students in six D.C. high schools by providing scholarships, support and mentoring to help them earn a college degree
Double the Numbers - a coalition that represents a commitment by community leaders to ensure that many more DC students succeed in college
DC CAPS - encourages and enables DC public high school students to enter and graduate from college. DC-CAP provides individual and group counseling, college information resource centers, college application assistance, financial aid assistance, parent education, college student support services, and "Last dollar" award scholarships. All DC public high school students are eligible for DC-CAP assistance and support.
Great Schools DC School Chooser - provides information on school performance; includes public and private schools serving students from preschool through high school, as well as parent ratings and reviews
Fritzwire - Public Private Action - national education email newsletter published on weekdays with information about policy news, events and conferences, and jobs
GEORGIA
Georgia Center for Nonprofits - advocate and resource for Georgia nonprofits
Associated Grant Makers, Inc. - a regional association of grant makers, both foundations and corporations with giving programs, serving in, or making grants in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
BELL Scholars Alumni Society - event calendar that includes upcoming school open houses, college and career fairs, program application deadlines, and standardized test dates for students in the Boston area
BOSTONavigator - searchable database of over 1,500 programs that run after school, before school, on weekends, during the summer, and during school vacations.
Nelllie Mae Education Foundation - foundation that focuses on the promotion and integration of student-centered approaches to learning for middle and high school students
Rennie Center for Education Research & Policy - publishes research on public education in Massachusetts
TDC (Technical Development Corporation) - a nonprofit consulting and research group that offers workshops and consulting services for non-profits
PENNSYLVANIA
Philadelphia
The Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO) – provides access to a variety of education resources and assists families with access to and scholarship support for non-public schools. BAEO has a national presence, but their local office is in Philadelphia.
Black Alliance for Educational Options - helps increase access to high-quality educational options for black children by actively supporting parental choice policies and programs that empower low-income and working-class black families
CAP4KIDS: The Children’s Advocacy Project of Philadelphia – helps bridge the gap between the many quality social service agencies in the Philadelphia area and the families that need their help the most
Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSF) – a privately funded program dedicated to broadening educational opportunities for children by helping low-income families afford the cost of tuition at private schools
Independent School Consortium of Greater Philadelphia (ISC) – an organization representing over 20 independent schools in the Philadelphia region, the ISC is committed to helping increase the presence of faculty and staff of color in private school communities
Philadelphia Education Fund - provides resources to underserved middle and high school students, college scholarships for high school students attending public schools, and prepares teachers for successful careers in the School District of Philadelphia
The Philadelphia Area Multicultural Resource Center (MCRC) – organized by a consortium of Delaware Valley Independent Schools, MCRC presents programs for teachers, administrators and students that increase awareness and knowledge of diverse perspectives within our culture. Workshops address issues such as racism, sexism, and economic and social inequality.
