Oxbridge Academy exists due to the vision of William “Bill” Koch. Mr. Koch, who is the founder and CEO of the West Palm Beach-based Oxbow Carbon, graduated from Culver Military Academy in Indiana before receiving his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Koch’s father had been given the opportunity to attend MIT decades earlier thanks to the generosity of a local businessman. In a certain sense, Oxbridge Academy and its groundbreaking need-based financial aid program is Mr. Koch’s way of repaying that act of kindness. In his view, providing students with the type of life-defining educational experience Oxbridge Academy offers, not only benefits young people and their families, it also presents an extraordinary opportunity to advance our communities – on both a local and global scale."

The Association provides the framework for these affiliated sites to work together for the benefit of the whole and for the youth they serve. The Association supports collaborative learning through shared data and best practices, the development of program enhancements as needed to achieve our objectives for youth, maintenance of the program and curriculum model, professional development and training, and management of the C5 Bridges program for all sites.
