Technological and social changes have spawned new opportunities to reach historically under-represented students. This session shares findings from a study of under-represented high school students and college freshman reflecting on their experiences. The National Partnership for Educational Access and Zinch will share research that reveals the frustrations and influences in their search/decision making process. This program is designed to provide participants with new or additional tools to assess how to most effectively asses the needs for ACT/SAT preparation. Participants will gain insight into researching test prep options and customizing a program to meet the needs of their students. You will learn some of the differences between implementing programs internally or externally. Strategies will be shared for integrating preparation themes throughout your program as well as various metrics for assessing the effectiveness of programs. Open to NPEA members only.
