The National Partnership for Educational Access is an initiative of The Steppingstone Foundation. The Steppingstone Foundation is a privately funded, non-profit organization, which develops and implements programs that prepare urban schoolchildren for educational opportunities that lead to college.

Steppingstone's first initiative, The Steppingstone Academy, prepares Boston students with high potential and limited opportunities to gain admission to competitive college preparatory schools in the sixth, seventh, and ninth grades and provides ongoing support to ensure that these students thrive in their new schools, graduate from high school, and enroll at four-year colleges.
